The only annoying thing about Python...

...actually Ipython

In [2]: exit
Out[2]: Type exit() to exit.

In [3]: exit()
Do you really want to exit ([y]/n)?


is that you can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave.

  1. Well, actually typing Exit, one of IPython's magic functions, allows a swift, unquestioned exit

  2. You have probably fixed it by now, but in case you haven't or someone else stumbles upon this, the fix for your problem is to edit your ~/.ipythonrc and set confirm_exit to 0

Flowing text in inkscape (Poster making)

You can flow text into arbitrary shapes in inkscape. (From a hint here).

You simply create a text box, type your text into it, create a frame with some drawing tool, select both the text box and the frame (click and shift) and then go to text->flow into frame.
